Hello there, my lovely Readers! Sorry it has been over a month since I have posted anything. I shall do my best to be more diligent in sharing information in a timely fashion in the future!
It is officially Spring yet it took a while to really settle in here in northeast Ohio. I decided to celebrate Spring's arrival anyway by doing an internal cleanse, regardless of the frigid temperatures. I must admit that the cold weather made it a challenge to drink the abundance of cold grape juice that was on my menu.
Before I get into the dirty details of how I get my insides sparkling clean every Spring, I want to address people's differences. This is a very important point to consider when choosing an appropriate cleansing protocol for yourself. Everybody is different. We all know this. Every body is different as well. This perspective is all too often overlooked in the health care field. Every person's body has unique needs. While there are established and respected cleansing programs that work great for most people, some of us need to make adjustments to such programs to insure our body's needs are being met.
The cleansing program I based my Spring cleanse on was Dr. Christopher's 3 Day Cleanse. This is a rather aggressive program but I have done it before and was very pleased with the results. Since I am about two feet, seven inches tall with an average weight of 38lbs, I had to make some adjustments to this program.
On the first day, I drank prune and grape juice but only half as much as the program recommends. I also took half as much olive oil as the program recommends. It proved to be a very cleansing day indeed. Much of it was spent in the bathroom. On the second day, I continued with the prune juice. I also ate a few pieces of fresh fruit and a bowl of homemade vegetable soup. On the last day, I abstained from fruit juice. However, I continued eating fresh fruit, more vegetable soup, and a baked potato with olive oil and black pepper. It was the best potato ever! During all three days of this cleanse, I also took Dr. Christopher's Lower Bowel formula in capsule form.
I am very pleased with the results of my cleanse. I didn't weigh myself before or after because too much emphasis is put on our weight and I didn't want to feed into that. However, I can tell I lost weight. My skin is clearer and I have lots more energy now! Cleansing can be temporarily uncomfortable but the long-term benefits are definitely worth it.
